| Sound not a problemI've been looking to replace my 80g iPod as it's full up and I still have about 500 vinyl albums left to digitise. Getting the 160g seemed a no brainer until I read some of the comments about low sound levels. Before parting with my money, therefore, I went to a well known retail chain where iPods are on display and can be tested. I took my own headphones (Sennheiser CX 400 II) which have tight fitting 'in ear' ear-pieces and, crucially, a built-in volume control. With these I found no problem with the sound levels. Yes, the levels are a little lower. With my 80g I usually had the headphone volume on the minimum setting. With the 160g I had to move it up to about half way to achieve similar sound levels but I couldn't take maximum volume, that was deafening. So, with a decent set of headphones the reduced sound levels should not be a problem. So, with my new iPod now only being half full instead of completely full, I have no hesitation in giving this 5 stars. It's a beautiful little piece of kit which will enable me to carry my whole album collection on something not much bigger than a cassette (and I remember my first Walkman, and pockets bulging with cassette tapes!)

| lovely cameraI was going to buy a camcorder, but went for this as it has good video capacity for what I want and was a chance to upgrade my old camera. Used it at the Tall Ships Race the day after it arrived. I just set it to auto and shot everything in sight. It is steady as a rock even on long zoom, copes well with difficult lighting and was easy to use. It is taking me a while to get used to no viewfinder, but the screen is bright and clear. The main problem I have is that the video button is too 'handy'. I keep pressing it accidentally when I'm just trying to get a firm hold of the camera. The camera is well built and has a sturdy feel to it, which I like. I haven't had opportunity to try out the video capability yet. Overall, I'm glad I bought this one.
