Lion King Review

The item was delivered promptly which was excellent. However, when I watched it as it was reaching the final scenes the footage was jolty and stopped and went back to the middle of the film. I had to fast forward it to where I originally was and pray it went through, which it did, just about, but again was jarred. The film simply stopped during the beginning of the credits and wouldn't play any further.
On examination of the DVD I could see an obvious long scratch on it. The disk was sealed when I received it but I purchased it as 'second hand' so I am assuming that it was sealed somehow after being watched prior to me receiving it? Of course this disruption was disappointing for me. I have had to clean the DVD and when I watched it again there was a bit of improvement and it didn't go back to the centre of the film, but it was jolty and was touch and go!

This is one of the best Disney films ever - the story and the songs are brilliant and really catchy. I would love to buy this on DVD as my tape is getting worn. Please Disney do a DVD - everyone loves this film!!!

My favourite all time Disney film

bought to watch with grandson,he not seen it yet,but couldnt resist watching and it was just as good as I remembered after over 50 years.Not really dated at all. Recommend for romantics, the young at heart, and of course, dog lovers.

DVD of "Jungle Book"

Unfortunately I was unable to play it as all that showed were typed words, wrong area, so returned it to the address in Jersey , Channel Isles. I am hoping for a replacement that can be played in the U.K. and on my machine !!

It is just OK for a 5 year old

This is an old Disney film which is done as well as Disney usually does, which is of course good. Having said that, I had never seen it before, and since it is about a dream that becomes a bit of a nightmare in many parts, it did scare my 5 year old a bit, and she hasn't chosen to watch it again.

What a film

Tommy Steele plays an excellent character in Half a sixpence. The music is amazing and the singing is brillent. The film I thought was a beautiful love story but that all soon changed when Tommy Steele betrayed his love. In the end it all became a love story again and I think that this film deserves 4 stars.
